Every child gets an equal part, with great roles, and in musicals a solo song.
Our one-week shows provide the best of both worlds:
a fun, full theater production on the big, beautiful Playhouse stage,
AND a nurturing, friendly atmosphere, that allows
every student to really shine!

One week musical, June 26-30

A full musical with equal parts for every child. An inspiring show that follows a group of kids as they learn all about the power of believing in your dreams. When they become contestants on TV’s biggest hit show, the original American Idol, they discover the inside tips and secrets to becoming a superstar. Will each singer’s dream actually come true? Can they find the confidence to achieve their dreams? Great solo songs and a surprise ending. Get ready for fame - you’re going to Hollywood!

Ages 6-13

CLASS LOCATION: Studio Playhouse
CLASS TIME: 10:30am-2:30pm

PERFORMANCE DAY AT STUDIO PLAYHOUSE
Friday, June 30
Student drop-off is 10:30am at Studio Playhouse
Parents return for the Performance which starts at 1:15pm

Students bring own lunch, water bottle and snack each day,
including Performance Day

One week musical, July 10-14

A hilarious comedic version that spoofs the hit movie! When new student Gabbyyella wants to audition for the high school musical, brother and sister duo, Sharpie and Ryebread, vow to keep their places as the stars of the show. Can Nerf Ball team captain, Tray Doltin, help? When it’s discovered Gabbyyella is the worst singer EVER, the whole school must join forces to save the show. A super fun musical-comedy treat!

One week non-musical comedy, July 17-21

A play about teamwork and friendship. Sleep-away camp is an exciting new adventure for a group of pals. When they discover that some of the kids there love to play practical jokes they join in and have the time of their lives. But as they play more non-stop pranks, each group tries to get the upper hand. Then when they get into a jam, they find they must band together, using their tricky skills and cooperation, to get out of trouble. Too much fun!

One week musical, July 31-Aug 4

Seek your fortune in not one, but TWO Broadway favorites! The ever-popular “Oliver”, one of the most beloved British musicals, about the orphan who finds adventure in old-time London and winds up in the lap of luxury. And “Annie”, the world-wide hit about the girl who never gives up with the help of her fellow orphans. Tons of great parts, hilarious scenes and fantastic songs. Join us for two adventures that celebrate the bonds of family. A Broadway dream!

One week non-musical comedy, Aug 7-11

If you like to be funny, this is the play for you. Taking a cue from Wicked, the misunderstood rogues of classic tales set out to put the record straight. But fame follows them and they get more than they bargained for. Then reporters arrive and they land on national TV as celebrities. "The Big Bad Pig," "Little Red Riding Wolf," and "The Wolf Who Cried Boy" are among stories so wacky, you’ll blow down the house laughing! Great characters and super fun!

One week musical, August 14-18

Insects with attitude! After leaving the Peach the insects take on Manhattan. But soon they find themselves in a terrarium for a class science project! They meet some Army Ants who want to bust their way out, but the Butterflies would rather play fashion model and the Bee keeps flying into the glass. Can Ringo the Dragonfly get “a little help from his friends”? Packed with parodies of favorite Beatles songs, this comedy will drive you buggy – with laughter!

Recitals on Fridays:

12:45pm –costumes and prep as audience arrives
1:15-2:15pm – performance
2:15-2:30pm – change out of costumes, pick-up
